People outside the model railroading community probably think "we model railroaders" are a bit strange (and maybe we are), but we are probably no more fanatical than golfers or other sports people or hobbyists. Yes we have our own strange ways of doing things and strange model railroading terms that to outsiders is like a foreign language.
