1.DCC Model Trains Handbook

2.Model Railroad DCC Help

3.DCC Wiring – Keep it Simple

4.DCC Frequently Asked Questions (and answers)

With DCC, you can enjoy remarkably realistic train operation without the headaches of complicated wiring. Your locomotives will run smoother, start more reliably, maintain proper scale speeds, and deliver greater pulling power… often outperforming anything you’ve ever experienced with the old DC system.

Those tiny DCC decoders open up a world of precision control. With a simple press of a button, you can adjust speed, change direction, operate lights, trigger sounds, throw points, and command your layout accessories… all with impressive accuracy and ease.

Best of all, a DCC layout can be as simple or as advanced as you want it to be.

But here’s the truth many beginners only discover the hard way:

If you don’t understand a few key principles, you can easily make costly mistakes that lead to frustrating performance issues.

Avoiding those pitfalls is the key to getting a smooth-running, reliable DCC layout.

And that’s exactly why the “DCC Model Trains Handbook” exists.

This practical, easy-to-read PDF guide walks you step-by-step through how DCC really works and shows you exactly how to get your entire system running flawlessly. You’ll learn the right way to set things up, how to optimise your locomotives, and how to avoid the common problems that derail other modellers.

With the right guidance at your fingertips, you’ll be able to run your trains at beautifully realistic speeds… with all the lighting, sound, and operational features behaving just like a real railroad.

Everything is explained in clear, plain language. You’ll learn about decoders, boosters, power buses, command signals, timing pulses, and more… supported with diagrams that make each concept easy to grasp.

The PDF e-book downloads instantly. No waiting. No shipping.
You’ll have access in minutes.

Read it on your computer, tablet, or phone… or print out only the pages you need. It’s fast, simple, and designed to get you up and running right away.

Better still; keep it by your layout, so it’s close-by when you need help with: decoders, power districts, auto-reverse, programming, function key mapping, or whatever problems you want to solve.

So, within 5-minutes you’ll have the precise information you need to have a “trouble-free” DCC layout.

The “DCC HELP” e-book covers ALL the DCC basics… and answers ALL the questions you’re likely to want answered.

Questions like:
•	What are the different “Power Districts” on a DCC system?
•	Can a DCC and DC train operate at the same time on the same layout?
•	How much power is needed to run a DCC system?
•	Should the points be modified?
•	What type of wiring is needed?
•	Can DCC be run through a computer? Is it necessary?
•	How are Bus Wires soldered to the track?
•	How do Reverse Loops operate with DCC?
•	Do the trains need to be upgraded to use with DCC?

Those are just some of the questions answered in this bonus “DCC HELP” ebook.

So, in just minutes you’ll have the right information to plan your own “realistically operating” DCC model railroad without the headaches. In no time you’ll be sitting back… relaxed… in charge of your very own DCC model railroad!

These 4 PDF e-books are NOT available in stores. You can only access them through this website. So, click the link to order and you can have them within 5 minutes! I know you’ll find them really useful.

5 Fun To Make Scale Model Background Warehouses:

With these downloadable plans you can construct 5 realistic model railroad industrial buildings to N scale size, OO gauge, or HO scale size. The background models in this railroad industries series comprise:

Plan B696 the Farmers Co-Op Creamery Dairy Factory Building
Plan B697 the Harvest Fresh Grain Distributors Building
Plan B698 the United Rail Distributors Gold Storage Warehouse and Offices Building
Plan B699 the G.J. Manufacturing Industries Building
Plan B700 the P.G. Robertson Manufacturing Industries Building

Suitable For OO Gauge, N Scale, and HO Scale Model Railroad Background Scenes

The first thing is to choose your scale preference when ordering. After downloading and printing the PDF plans, you can build these paper models using corflute or foamboard. Cereal box card is perfect for small any parts. The constructed background buildings are very robust when built. You also have the option to glue a few off-cuts of corflute or cardboard on the inside of the completed models to make the buildings even stronger. Another option is to spray your constructed scale railroad industry models with a clear matt varnish for even more durability and protection.

The plans for these model railroad industries can be downloaded in the widely used PDF format, so there is nothing complicated to worry about. Building these models is both fun and easy, and when completed the railroad industry models are sure to impress both you and your friends. Simply position them against the background behind a rail yard or spur on your model train layout. They’ll look just like real buildings when off-set against a scenic sky background. Put some model trains on the tracks in front to complete the railroad scene. If you model in OO gauge then select the OO option when ordering. HO scale models can be easily made by scaling the OO print size to 87%. If you model N scale then choose the N scale option when ordering.

The Fun & Easy Way To Make Your Own Scale Models That Look Convincingly Real!

You won’t need any airbrushing or weathering skills to bring these background buildings to life. The plans for these building are strikingly “photo-realistic” and come already weathered complete with rust, mildew, cracks, broken windows, and other realistic true to life touches. Watch the video tutorial that demonstrates how easy these scale model buildings are to construct, and how life-like they are when placed in a model railroad setting.

Authentic Look Just Like Real Railroad Industries

These model railroad industrial buildings are not designed to “look pretty”. Instead, they are designed to resemble their real-world counterparts that are often seen alongside railroad tracks and rail yards. Just like in real life, these model buildings shows the impacts that age and weathering has had on their appearance. They don’t look like shiny new plastic models fresh out of the box, and they don’t require airbrushing or artistic skills to make them look real and authentic. Instead, the textures use photo-realistic images designed to add character and “authentic realism” to the completed models. Real rail yards are NOT the cleanest of places, so these models will look right at home on any model train layout depicting a real life scene.

Railway yards are typically organized to systematically control both outbound and inbound freight shipments with efficiency and safety being the top priorities. Looking beautiful is not usually on the priority list for most railroad operators, which explains why rail yards are often a popular target for graffiti artists. Although the graffiti can often be seen from passing trains, in real life the rail yards and their associated railroad industries are located somewhat away from residential housing.

Incorporating railroad industries on a train layout is a sensible option for model railroaders because every railroad needs a purpose in order to exist. The freight cars, boxcars, center-beam cars, auto racks, coil cars, covered hopper wagons, gondolas, flatcars, open-top hoppers, tank cars, refrigerated boxcars, intermodal equipment, well cars, and tank cars all need a reason to be operating. Industries located alongside or in close proximity to a railroad route makes economical sense for the railroad and its customers. The operators of the various plants, factories, and warehouse distributors often locate their businesses near a railroad because they need quick, efficient and cost-effective transport routes to distribute the goods they produce. Suppliers to the industries also need efficient access in order to transport raw materials, fuels etc to the plants, factories, and other railroad industries.

The 5 scale railroad models in this industrial railroading series are designed for positioning together or separately as a backdrop behind a rail yard on an OO scale, N scale, or HO scale train layout.

These railroad industry models can be made using cardboard, a sheet of corflute, or foam board. Watch the demonstration videos on this website for several examples of the simple construction process. You’ll find the assembled buildings to be surprisingly durable when constructed, so will withstand many years (or decades) of display on a model train layout.

This series of 5 miniature PDF plans can be easily downloaded, printed, and built for display on OO scale, HO scale, or N scale train layouts. These railroad industry models not only look remarkably real, but they are also incredibly sturdy and designed to last for decades when constructed.

Make These 5 Workshop & Industry Buildings
Ideal for HO scale, N scale, and OO scale backgrounds on model train layouts

The paper plans can be purchased individually, or you can take advantage of the special 67% pack deal and get all 5 plans including: B689 Hart Steel Co, B690 the Engine & Generator Maintenance Co workshop, plan B691 Auto Restorations workshop, plan 692 the W.S. Reed Cargo building, and plan B693 the Clarke & Williams Manufacturing Co building.

The 5 industrial buildings, warehouses, and workshops features above will look particularly real as a backdrop to railway yards that have many tracks in parallel for keeping the rolling stock and unused train engines stored off the mainline, so they don’t obstruct the flow of rail traffic. Railway yards typically consist of a complex system of train tracks with switches and crossings arranged for the purpose of sorting, storing, loading and unloading railway cars as well as assembling new trains into consists ready for departure.
